Joyce A. Eager, age 80 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Joyce was born on July 26, 1934 in the Town of Fountain Prairie to Benjamin and Susan (Anderson) Braker. She graduated from Fall River High School and later worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory and also at Hotel Rogers. On November 17, 1956, she was united in marriage to Donald Eager at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.
Joyce enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, camping, watching football and car races on television, bowling, going to arts and craft shows and she was an avid reader. She was also a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.
Joyce is survived by her husband Don of Beaver Dam; siblings, Lucille Miller of Beaver Dam, Sue (Ray) Butterbrodt of Burnett, Arthur Braker of Columbus, Marion (Larry) Freber of Beaver Dam and Gerald (Karen) Braker of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and other relatives.
A Funeral Service for Joyce will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Deacon Ed Cody officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Cornerstone, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, followed by a luncheon served back at Cornerstone.
