Otto Oscar Roecker

Otto Oscar Roecker, age 84 of Wautoma, passed away peacefully with his children at his side on February 27, 2016 at Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope in Fond Du Lac, WI.

Otto was born on March 21, 1931 at his homestead in Allenton, WI to the late Otto H. and Elsie (Justman) Roecker. He graduated with the Class of 1949, from Slinger High School.  He married Mary A. Schaefer on October 6, 1951 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Otto and his wife resided in Beaver Dam for 40 years.  He worked for Mayr Seed & Feed and retired from W.R. Grace after 34 years.  They enjoyed their retirement in Wautoma.

In his younger years, he played softball on numerous teams in Beaver Dam and coached little league baseball.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and would always cheer for the Brewers, Packers and Badgers.

Roecker (Brenda Knox and son Jonathon) of Wautoma; grandchildren, Jennifer (Lorne) Druecke of Beaver Dam, Amanda (Peter) Buwalda of Randolph, Otto J. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary in 2010; sister, Anita Hildebrandt; brothers, Franklin Roecker, Gordon Roecker, Reuben Roecker, Burton Roecker and Daniel Roecker.

There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Hospice Home of Hope and the entire staff for their exceptional care during his stay.

A Memorial Gathering for Otto will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam with Rev.
