Gregory “Greg” L. Aschenbrenner, age 63 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison.
Greg was born on November 26, 1952 in Shawano, the son of Lyle and Mary (Zeamer) Aschenbrenner. On June 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Koelbl in West Bend. Greg proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. Greg enjoyed many activities including hunting, fishing, woodworking, riding his motorcycles, collecting clocks and attending auctions.
Greg is survived by his wife, Pat of Beaver Dam; his sons, Micky (Tammy Uherka) Aschenbrenner and Shane (Theresa) Aschenbrenner, both of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Alex, Jaelyn, Kenade, and Ethan; his sisters, Patricia (Roger) Strebig and Susan (Richard) Belongia, both of Shawano; his step-mother, Carol Aschenbrenner of Shawano, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.
A gathering of Greg’s friends and family will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at his home, 606 N. University Ave., Beaver Dam. Cards, memorials and flowers may be sent to their residence.
