The Beaver Dam Chamber Ambassadors recently participated in plaque presentation to welcome Friendship International to the Chamber:
Friendship International – Friendship International is an incorporated organization in the State of Wisconsin and a 501(c)3 non-profit organization under the rules of the IRS. Its mission is to build personal, mutual relations with the people of Liberia (West Africa) and provide material support (primarily medical and educational) to help the nation rebuild after a 14-year civil war and to assist their development out of poverty. Already four 40-foot cargo containers have been sent and there have been seven people-exchange visits back and forth. Friendship International is proud to join the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce, in part out of gratefulness for the overwhelming support from the community in providing generous donations of money and goods from individuals and institutions. Friendship International is also a member of Downtown Beaver Dam, Inc. in support of the local efforts to help our home community thrive.
