The 2nd Annual Rock River Bierfest will be held in Mayville on Saturday, january 28. The event will be held at the Mayville
Park Pavilion from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale now! General admission is $25 and VIP tickets are $35. VIP tickets include a commemorative shirt and early admission at 2:00 p.m. Special brews will be available for VIP participants while they last and there will some special drawings for prizes. Tickets at the door are $5 more. (VIP tickets at the door do not include a shirt.) All participants will receive a commemorative glass and program. Tickets are on sale at Mountin’s Piggly Wiggly in Mayville and on Eventbrite. Tickets are also available from members of the Mayville Rotary Club.
Featured craft brewers include 3 Sheeps, Bells, Capital, Sweet Mullets, Sprecher, The Fermemtorium, Ballast Point, Riverside Brewery, Point, Plymouth Brewing, and more. Food will also be a big part of the event. Those attending can expect to enjoy food from The Natural Way, The Pub, Blublitz Restaurant, Don Ramon’s Restaurant, The Open Door, Leroy Meats, Dan’s King Pin, Kwik Trip, Confections by Joel, Widmer’s Cheese and Old Fashioned Foods. All the food, beer, water and hot chocolate is included with your ticket purchase.
The Mavyille Park Pavilion is visible from HWY 67 coming into Mayville and is right on the edge of the beautiful Rock River. Back in the early 1900’s it was home to Ziegler BrewingCompany. Says Dan Koepsell, “It’s kind of neat to have the event at the pavilion with it’s history of being a brewery back in the day. Last year people had a blast! We sold out last year and hope to again this year again. It’s a great event! You get to try all kinds of craft beers plus you receive free food and entertainment with your ticket price and it’s all for a good cause.” Other activities at the bierfest include a silent auction, live music by “Mark Wayne” and sports on big screen televisions.
