Obituary: Herbert E. Ninmann, age 82

Herbert E. Ninmann, age 82 of Hustisford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Marvin’s Manor in Horicon.

Herbert was born on September 28, 1935 in the town of Clyman, the son of Ervin and Irene (Gnewuch) Ninmann. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Herbert was united in marriage to Bernice Damrow on September 31, 1955 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Hustisford, where he was a longtime member and usher. A member of both the Hustisford Lions Club and Fire Department, Herbert also enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes and softball, traveling and singing in Maennerchor German men’s choir.

Herbert is survived by his sons, Douglas (Patricia) of Burnett, Curtis (Cynthia) of Juneau and Michael (Gail) of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Brittany (Charles) Borchardt, John Borkowski, Brett Ninmann, Jacob Borkowski, Kyle Ninmann, Casey (Chris) Rullie, Cody Ninmann, Allison Ninmann and Eric Ninmann; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Dominic Borchardt and one more on the way; siblings, Marlene (Wayne) Schultz of Hustisford, Harold (Dorothy) Ninmann of Beaver Dam and Marilyn Peck of Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Doris Pirkel of Watertown; brother-in-law Donald (Donna) Damrow of Clyman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Carol Ninmann; brothers-in-law, Donald Pirkel and William Peck; special friend, Merry Kreitzman and other relatives.

Visitation for Herbert will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 269 Lake St., Hustisford from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jonathan Loescher officiating. Burial will take place at Hustisford Cemetery.
