The Barefoot Movement

A fun mix of traditional bluegrass and modern Americana-Pop! The Barefoot Movement is anything but your standard bluegrass band. They stretch from a strong foundation of traditional Appalachian music, borrowing the best from other roots based genres to shape their hallmark sound. In a typical show, you’ll hear elements of bluegrass, blues, folk, rock, country and pop through their narrative lyrics, tight three-part harmonies, hot instrumental riffs, lilting blues scales and catchy vocal hooks.

“One of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene.” — CMT Edge

While their top-notch musicianship can speak for itself, as seen by their 2014 Momentum Award at International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), it’s their witty banter & onstage chemistry that makes a stage of any size feel like home.

This unique trifecta of skill, innovation and charisma has not gone unnoticed. In their young career, they have been featured at festivals and events across the country, opening for the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, The Milk Carton Kids, The Duhks and Vince Gill and members have shared the stage with America, Sam Bush, John Oates, and The Waybacks, among others.
