Barbara A. Retichek



Barbara A. Retichek, age 76, of Beaver Dam, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at her home.

Visitation for Barb will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:00 PM with Fr. John L. Simon officiating.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Barbara Ann Winter was born on March 20, 1938 to William and Laura (Schultz) Winter in Horicon, Wisconsin. She was a 1956 graduate of Horicon High School. In 1958 she was united in marriage with Joseph Retichek at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Barb worked for many years at Weyenberg Shoe Factory. In most recent years, she worked for Tecre. She enjoyed doing ceramics and collected all sorts of trinkets. Barba also had a love for animals, especially cats.

Survivors include her brother and sisters, Irvin (Evelyn) Winter of Iron Ridge, Mary (Gene) Wiese of Theresa, and Judy (Roger) Bader of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brothers and sisters, Bill Jr., Bruce, Chuck, David, Richard, Geraldine Tetzlaff and Shirley Wiese.
