Obituary: Mary Lou Landsee

Mary Lou Landsee, age 62, of Lowell, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Ashley’s Home in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Mary Lou will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, 214 South Main Street in Reeseville, on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 10:00 am to 10:55 am.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating.  Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery.

Mary Lou was born on July 12, 1952 in Hustisford, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Edna (Laverence) Landsee.  Mary Lou worked for, and later managed, her parent’s egg plant, Landsee Egg Company.  In 1987, she and her sister Patty began dairy farming in Lowell.  Mary Lou also raised chickens and eggs and grew vegetables for her sisters to sell at the Sun Prairie Farmers Market.

Mary Lou is survived by her brothers and sisters, Dennis Landsee of Lowell, Marilyn (Andy) Woudenberg of Sun Prairie, James (Susan) Landsee of Milwaukee, Jean (Douglas Brisky) Shriver-Brisky of Columbus, Sherri Landsee and Patty Landsee, both of Lowell; many nieces, nehews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sisters; and a brother-in-law, Ron Shriver.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Cindy Heitzberg and Amber Gilbert of Ashley’s Home for their wonderful care of Mary Lou; they would also like to thank Kathy Bronner and Elaine Anderson, and the other staff at Hillside Home Care/Hospice, as well as Dr. Amy Muchow and Chaplain Dennis Richards for their care and support.
