Obituary: Lucille E. Lindert

Lucille E. Lindert, 97, of Horicon, passed away peacefully at her home with her brother by her side on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Funeral services for Lucille will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 3 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Allen Kramp officiating.  A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.  Interment will follow at St. John Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Mayville, WI.

Lucille was born on December 11, 1919 the daughter of Otto and Lena (Luebke) Lindert in Mayville.  Lucille, together with her brothers, farmed on the family farm for many years. She had also been employed at the Red Rooster Cheese Company in Mayville.  

Lucille was a faithful and devoted lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville; where she was a member of the Dorcas Society.  Lucille enjoyed gardening, canning and baking for her family.

Lucille will be deeply missed by her brother Wayne Lindert of Horicon and her two nieces, Judy (Robert) Rassman and Sherry (Peter) Gebauer both of Horicon.  She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Ethel Getzman, Helen Hackbarth and Verona Knueppel and her brother Marvin Lindert.

Memorial donations in Lucille’s name may be directed to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville, Wisconsin.
