Obituary: Thomas R. Hartt

Thomas R. Hartt, age 63, of Beaver Dam died Sunday, August 9, 2015.

Visitation for Tom will be held at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Schupmann officiating.  The Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146 will conduct military honors immediately following the service.  Inurnment will be at Bethany Cemetery at a later date.

Thomas was born on October 25, 1951 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late John and Loretta (Frisch) Hartt.  He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1970 and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He worked as a mechanic at Chrysler until he retired.  Tom enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and spending time on the family farm.  He also loved his pets, especially his dog Roxie.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer (Lorne) Druecke of Beaver Dam and Amanda Hartt (fiancé Peter Buwalda) of Randolph; nine brothers and sisters, Clara Schmidt, Linda Jarrett, Jeanette (Leonard “Corky”) Mackay, Randy Hartt (Roxanne), Julaine (Stephen) Schulz, Kristine Evenson, Al (Joan) Wolc, Terry (Melissa) Wolc, and Millie Garcia; his aunt, Ethel Machkovich; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Tom was preceded in death by his father, John Hartt, Jr.; his mother, Loretta Wolc; and his nephew, Joe Hartt.

If desired, memorials may be made in Thomas R. Hartt’s name to the Dodge County Humane Society.
