Obituary: Ellery “Butch” Klatt

Ellery “Butch” Klatt, age 75, of rural Juneau, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Butch will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Paul Vander Galien will officiate.  Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Ellery William Klatt was born on June 21, 1942 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Ellery and Arvilla (nee: Leannah) Klatt.  He graduated from Montello High School in 1960 and was a dock worker until his retirement in 1998.  Butch was a member of Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Klatt of rural Juneau; two sons, Michael Klatt of San Diego and Stephen Klatt of Tinley Park, IL; two sisters, Arlene (Joseph) Bauer of Oak Lawn, IL and Sandra Ebert of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Butch was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, James Ebert; and a niece, Julia Bauer.

If desired, memorials may be made to Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell.
