Obituary: Michael J. Pavelka, age 50

Michael J. Pavelka, age 50 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 surrounded by family at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Michael was born on May 13, 1967 in Beaver Dam, the son of John and Nancy (Sturm) Pavelka. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Beaver Dam Chapter of Special Touch Ministries, visiting several states with the organization. He enjoyed traveling with family and was known for always being the co-pilot on these adventures. He especially liked traveling to his “second homeâ€ù in Oklahoma to be with his brother Bill. Michael was member of Praise Assembly of God in Beaver Dam.

Michael is survived by his parents; brothers, Anthony of Beaver Dam and Bill (Amy) of Oklahoma; nieces, Natasha Martin and Samantha (special friend Gary Broadway) Pavelka; great-nieces, Jada & Camille Martin and Addilyn Pavelka; great-nephews, Aaron Broadway and Tristin Martin; and further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, friends, and his Special Touch Ministries family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Pavelka; maternal and paternal grandparents; and other relatives.

A memorial gathering for Michael will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Praise Assembly of God, 119 W. Maple St., Beaver Dam from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Carey officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.
