Dorothy L. “Dottie” (nee: Daniels) Behm, age 84, of Beaver Dam, entered the arms of the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Dorothy will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Drive in Beaver Dam, on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, Wisconsin.

Dorothy was born on January 18, 1931 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lloyd and Mary (Huebel) Daniels.  She was united in marriage with Charles “Charlie” Behm on October 10, 1953.  They made Beaver Dam home their entire life.  He preceded her in death in 2012.

Dorothy was a hard worker, staying at home to raise their four children and helping Charlie run Behm Heating and Cooling for many years.

Dorothy was a small woman with a huge heart and was always worrying about everyone else.  She loved animals and the family enjoyed many pets throughout the years.  In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, and canning.  Dorothy also volunteered her time to perform beauty services at the hospital and she delivered Meal-On-Wheels.  She also enjoyed watching scary movies, reading, and visiting with family members who were blessed to call her Mom and Grandma.

Dorothy is survived by her four children: Linda Washtock of Beaver Dam, Chris Korallis (Bill Hess) of Jackson, WI, Laura (Mike) Spanbauer of Oshkosh, WI and Charles (Lisa) Behm Jr. of Beaver Dam.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Jessica, Craig, Nathan, Adam, and Justin (aka, “Child #5”), as well as seven great grandchildren.  Dorothy is further survived by her brother, James (Joan) Daniels of Beaver Dam and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sisters, Mary Jane Sherman and Katherine Zuehlke.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank the many caring individuals who assisted mom.  Included are Bonnie from Home Instead, the staff at Hillside Manor, Hillside Home Care & Hospice, specifically her home nurse and special angel, Patty DeVries.  You are all appreciated!
