Dear Community Member:
You are cordially invited to the Harvest Hope Project on Saturday, September 24, 2016, beginning at 4:00 pm at Harvest Church. The event is designed to bring awareness to the problem of heroin addiction and raise funds for the Xtreme Intervention Project. The event will include panel discussions with professionals in the field, the showing of the opiate addiction movie titled If Only, a delicious dinner featuring a pasta bar prepared by chefs from Benvenuto’s Restaurant, dessert bar, and a music concert by Selepri Amachree’s Intervention band.
Drug addiction is an epidemic throughout the area. On a regular basis the local newspaper posts articles on arrests for possessing and selling illegal drugs, and crimes associated with drug use, e.g. break-ins, theft, etc. Drug addiction has affected many people directly or indirectly in the Dodge County area.
In an effort to combat this addiction, Harvest Church has partnered with Xtreme Intervention Project, a faith based organization. Selepri Amachree, founder of Xtreme Intervention has developed a successful program in helping those hopelessly lost in addiction. For more information on Selepri’s efforts visit http://addictsunchained.com/xtreme-intervention-project.
